The Shimba Hills lodge is set around a salt lick and waterhole in the forest. This attracts a regular procession of game from the forest both day and night.

Day 1: Shimba Hills - Shimba Hill Lodge
Afternoon pick-up from your hotel and drive, to Shimba Hilla National Park. This environmental fiendly park buried deep in the cool and green tropical rainforest, lies only 50 km from the hustle and bustle of Mombasa, and the heat of the tropical coast.

Enjoy a first game drive in this home of the rare sable antelope, elephant and buffalo. Pre-dinner cocktails can be enjoyed in the viewing bar at the raised walkway. Dinner is served on a terrace overlooking the floodlit water hole regularly visited by elephants.

Overnight at Shimba Hill Lodge (Half Board)

Day 2
Depart An early morning game, before returning to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. The Shimba hills are a dissected plateau that ascends steeply from the coastal plains, 30 km south west of Mombasa and just south of Kwale town. After breakfast, you will drive back to your coastal hotel.
