Day 1: Masai Mara - Mara Explorer Camp
On arrival in Nairobi at JKI Airport, you will be met by AFRICAN SAFARIS AND ADVENTURES representative.

From here you will be driven straight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi for your morning scheduled flight to the Masai Mara where you will stay at the superb Mara Explorer Tented Camp.

Clients arriving on KLM or Sabena will ha
ve to spend a night in Nairobi. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi
(not included in rate).

On arrival at the airstrip in the Masai Mara, you will be met by your driver/guide in an open 4x4 vehicle. He will drive you to your Mara Explorer Camp after a short game drive.

This luxurious tented camp lies at the confluence of the reserve's four main game viewing areas, and enjoys prime views of the spectacular wildebeest migration between June and September. During the remainder of the year, herds of watering elephant, giraffe and other animals can be seen from your private verandah. After lunch at the camp you will have an afternoon game drive in the park.

Day 2: Masai Mara - Mara Explorer Camp
At dawn you will be woken up with a cup of tea. By 6.30 am you will be well on your way for an incredible game drive in the Mara River Eco-system. June to September is Kenya's dry season and subsequently the cloud cover is also considerably less. This means that the morning light is also at its best and provides a superb opportunity to take some great photographs

Morning and afternoon game drives all with superb photographic opportunities to capture the stately Black-manned Lion, Elephant and the migration of plains game.

Day 3: Masai Mara - Mara Explorer Camp
To Day you have an opportunity to go on a spectacular balloon ride over the Masai Mara which is followed by a champagne-style breakfast in the middle of this expansive reserve (this is an optional extra which can be arranged at the time of booking this trip - full refund given if the balloon does not take off).

Alternatively, an early morning game drive provides the perfect opportunity to see the predators in action. After breakfast at the Camp we may proceed on a full-Day game drive with picnic lunch.

The itinerary is fairly flexible and together with your driver/guide and the Camp manager, you will decide on each Day's program. Optionals such visits to the Masai village, bush meals or treks are also available

Day 4: Masai Mara - Mara Explorer Camp
To Day you will continue to follow the migration, perhaps in a different area of the reserve.

Day 5: Lamu - Kipungani Explorer
An early morning game drive is followed by a leisurely breakfast. You will then depart for the airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport, Nairobi. From Wilson, you will board your afternoon flight to Lamu.

A ninety minute flight from Nairobi will take you to Manda Island, adjacent to the ancient sleepy Swahili island of Lamu.

On landing you will be met with warm island charm before boarding a speedboat and taking a twenty minute journey through a wide channel, fringed with mangroves, to Kipungani. Spend the afternoon at leisure at the hotel

Day 6/8: Lamu - Kipungani Explorer
For the next 3 Days you may enjoy the superb laid-back ambiance of Kipungani. Here the ultimate pleasures of relaxing on deserted beaches, swimming in the warm Indian Ocean and eating scrumptious sea-food can be enjoyed to the full

Day 9: Depart
After lunch you will depart for your flight to Nairobi. In the evening we invite you to a farewell dinner at the carnivore restaurant before transferring you to the JKIA airport for your flight home. Our airport representative will assist you at check-in
